Soundtrack rule #1

Don’t use “Bicycle Race” by Queen in a cycling video.

Ever.

Do you have any idea how tired we (cyclists) are of that? You may think it’s a novel idea (omg a song ABOUT BICYCLE RACES that I can use in my video of BICYCLE RACES) but – trust us – it’s been done many, many, many times before.

However this video is very nice. I’d just suggest turning the volume down and listening to some Birdy Nam Nam

I did not heed your advice and began the video before muting the sound.
Luckily you can’t technically choke the air out of computer.
I’m not even sure if the part I had my hands so tightly gripped around was its throat.

Thank you for posting this, but I would ask that the rule be expanded beyond videos and to everything that has anything to do with cycling. Say, for instance getting woken up at 4:00 a.m. on day 2 of the MS Getaway, and not just playing the song once, but over and over again in 5 minute intervals. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but there’s not a lot of variety in the lyrics, so having this song stuck in one’s head for 75 miles makes me not want to ride my bicycle.
