Destroying my potential.
So now that I’m done racing my bike, as well as not riding it for at least two weeks, I’ve found that I have ample free time. The two hours a day that I would spend riding (which includes thinking about riding, thinking about where to ride, slowly getting dressed, actually riding, and then sitting around in my riding clothes contemplating how good I look) is now freed up for me to do what I please with!
Think of all the great things I can possibly accomplish! I could make these two weeks my novel writing time! I could get my Christmas shopping done! I could work on learning Python!
Or, I could download ROMs of every NES and SNES game, an emulator for each system, purchase RetroUSB controllers, and give myself the insane goal of defeating every Mega Man game on NES and SNES.
As Ken said, “If only you were as motivated to ride your bike as you are to play Mega Man…”
Maybe that will be the case in a few weeks. But for now, I’d much rather spend my time attempting to beat Robot Masters and watching speed runs on youtube. Because that’s how awesome I am.
