Chicago

In other news, I have to go to Chicago until Wednesday for a trade show for work.

Any suggestions of places to go, things to do in my off hours? Because I don’t know anyone in Chicago, nor do I know anything about the city.

For starters…what areas have a large number of stabbings? Because those are the areas I’d like to avoid.

spent 4th of july in chicago for a wedding. i do not recommend it. immense city, most of it to be avoided. sure, c vdv lives there, except not in the city. because he’s not dumb. we were there during “taste of chicago,” this big, outdoor food festival. someone got shot on the final night. at a food festival. you heard me.

if you like wine and are able to expense, bin36 is pretty decent. they probably have something involving bacon on the menu. the museum of art did not suck, and millennium park was kinda cool. in a “i have nothing better to do with my time” sort of way. that general area of downtown is hit/miss. where you’d probably want to miss getting hit by a bullet.

i used to live in new york. it’s a lot safer.

I feel like Chicago is trying really hard to be something it’s not. Not my kind of city.
