Avoiding stabbings and eating chinese food.
So I’m in Chicago. And it’s interesting.
I’m staying in the Chinatown Hotel, which is, oddly enough, in Chinatown. So it’s cheap. Chinatown is also in an area that I would imagine a decent number of…not great…things happen. Hence the interesting part. Like the guy mumbling about crack rocks and chronic.
I did make it up to Michigan Ave. the other day, and that part was nice (in a very commercial way). So far I haven’t been blown away by anything. Other than that, I’m going to try to see David Rees at Second City on Tuesday night.
Entertaining things have been happening frequently, and when the do I’ve been putting them on my twitter account (because you obviously want to know exactly what I’m doing at all times). The main reason for this is that I want to share with you about the man mumbling about crack, but I can’t very well fire up my computer and throw it on the site when I’m walking next to him by my hotel.
I’m also putting pictures in a facebook gallery. Come, join me in the boredom of a trade show!
What race does the 9/20 twitter entry reference?
Say Hi to my family for me!
Go to a restaraunt called Orange. There’s two at different locations. Mostly breakfast.
Second City is awesome too… my girlfriend’s brother is an actor there.
And Millenium Park is worth checking out, if for nothing other than the giant chrome egg-like thing.
Yeah, I think I’m going to try to make it to Second City on Tuesday to see David Rees and John Hodgman. I’ve been pretty beat at night though…standing and talking about websites for seven hours sort of takes it out of me.
