Over on Cyclingnews this morning is an interesting thing about a format change for the Vuelta:
The Vuelta a España may be introducing a radical new format in an attempt to make the race more exciting. Race director Victor Cordero has proposed a first week of “play-offs” for the race sometime in the future.
PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS? YOU KIDDIN’ ME?! The Vuelta can’t even get a significant television audience, and you’re talking about the playoffs!
