Tom Boonen and Ken have a lot in common.

So I was doing my morning peruse through Cyclingnews and came across this interesting tidbit:

Quick.Step boycotts awards ceremony

Meanwhile, no one from Quick.Step attended the ceremony. The team is boycotting HLN since the newspaper published doping charges against the squad in January this year.

Oh, okay, no big deal. I understand, they’ve got beef with a newspaper over some (hopefully) false doping allegations. I wonder if there’s any other beef?

Boonen had further difficulties with the newspaper this week after it published a story on his new girlfriend, 16 year-old [my bold] Sophie van Vliet, the daughter of former pro Leo van Vliet, now organiser of the Amstel Gold Race and Amstel Curaçao Race. The sprinter at first denied the story, then admitted it, but said that the reporter had lied to him about where the interview would appear.

WHOA. WHOA. WAIT. HOLD ON. SIXTEEN? Boonen is 27! WHAT THE HELL! Tom! C’mon! I seriously, seriously, seriously hope this is some sort of a terrible misprint.
