Plowing through skanks.
So my Surly is built up and running.

Here it is, in all of it’s single speed and steel glory, in front of a table of printers at my office. I ran into some issues with it, considering that the brakes cost four bucks (for the pair) on Nashbar. Surprise, surprise, the damn things sucked. To the point that my rear brake fell apart on the way to work one day. So now, I have the rear off of my Cannondale and a shitty front, which I’ve adjusted and it isn’t so shitty.
Josh Austin and I installed the star nut with an extender from a socket wrench, a piece of 2×4 and a hammer.
I can’t wait to get this thing out on the trail. It’s so damn heavy.
Once I get my hands on a cutting table, I’m cutting some decals for it, hopefully in the font Surly uses.
