Okay, in case anyone reading this is outside of New England (or New Hampshire, I guess) or is living in an underground bunker:
It’s April 12th. This shouldn’t be happening.
I’m sitting in the MUB killing some time before I go to the DH with Mike. The MUB has a steel roof, and the frozen chunks of ice and snow falling from the sky are hitting it like tiny ball bearings – it sounds like the floor of a machine shop is being swept onto the roof of the building.
Outside, the snowflakes are huge and look like a Hollywood creation. They intermittently go from pieces of clouds falling down to the dreary and more depressing creation known as “wintry mix”.
Once again, April. Although, it is somehow fitting. I remember I came up to UNH for a Liberal Arts open house on April 8, 2003, before coming here.
There was a snowstorm that day, and as we were driving home my mom said to me “Are you sure you want to go to school in a place where it snows this much in April?”
Oh well. Bookends of snow storms to my collegiate career.
And that’s why I don’t live in NH anymore… ahhh balmy NJ!
Wow, I remember that snowstorm on April 8…we got it in NJ too. And I remembered it was April 8 because I thought that was the latest it would ever snow into the spring…..but I was clearly wrong and April 12 is now the day to remember. Ugh.
acutally i remeber that too. i had to skip class and shovel 3 lanes of our track so we could have a meet
oh my. a big macho snow shovelin’ man. i’m getting turned on.
apparently josh was the last to post on here from my computer because that last comment was meant to come from me….hahaha but it’s fitting either way
if it makes you feel any better its snowing in NY today too…. and even better, we got 4 inches of snow on Easter and I had to ride on my trainer this week
