Riding in Connecticut
So I went home this weekend to see Ally in an a capella competition in Hartford. Alabaster Blue was awesome, naturally. But there was also a group from NYU that sang “Final Countdown”.
Yeah.
Anyway, I did a bunch of riding around Connecticut, and while riding into Middlebury from Woodbury today I spied something shiny on the ground. As I rode past it at the amazing speed of 15 miles an hour, I realized that it was some sort of Netgear thingy.
It was the internet!
So I turned around and investigated further. It was a brand new, still wrapped in the box, 802.11 a/b/g USB 2.0 wireless adapter.
Basically, the internet.
So I opened it up, put the install CD adapter in my jersey, picked up the box and threw it out down the road, and I was on my way.
Only in Connecticut, especially Litchfield county, will you find brand new computer equipment on the side of the damn road – as opposed to used needles or babies. I mean, riding in New Hampshire I’ve seen condoms. In Philly, Lemon Hill Park was filled with used condoms. It was great! I felt like if I crashed I’d get herpes or AIDS!
So does anyone want to buy this thing? Ten bucks.
you are a lucky man ryan. finding the interwebs on the roads of the great state of ct (yea, im from there tooo)
i look forward to seeing you at collegiate bike racing in like, less than a month. maybe this time i will be spared the, well i guess i should say privelage, of having to watch you get naked inside a van, and then getting mooned by you (or was that jeff?) during the drive back as we passed your stupid slow van on the road.
peace
