Pastry time.

Ullrich has retired.

At a press conference this morning in Hamburg, Germany, he said, “I could ride again immediately, I could get a license, I am fit, as fit as last year and could immediately have a team. I have seven offers, including ProTour teams.”

He added, “I mean, I could get on a ProTour team. But I’d rather sit on my couch all day long and eat pastries.”

Ullrich continued, saying that he plans on opening a chain of pastry shops with his free time. Jan’s SuperYummy Pastry Time shops will begin opening in Germany this summer, and will eventually come to the US once Chris Horner retires and realizes that he’s never going to be a model.

Horner is already a model. In my mind. A very naked, perpetually smiling model.

    Just kidding.
